The Paddington Ward and Hands On Art Present: Paddington Art on fences Event 2020 – Celebrating our community through Art!

About the Art on Fences Event

In this time of Covid 19 the Art on Fences Event gives us an opportunity to connect with each other by showcasing our art and creativity in ways that are uplifting, positive and inspiring.

Art on Fences is for everyone.

By expressing our creativity, we can turn Paddington into a place of art and wonder, be part of Brisbane’s first, biggest, outdoor art show.

How you can be a part of Art on Fences Day!

Here are some suggestions to help you come up with your own ideas. Get together with others in your street and share a wall or two. Paint a mural on your fence, wall, driveway, or garage door. Use chalk to draw on the path. Art up your gate or letterbox. Hang your art from a tree, put up an installation, a banner, or socks on sticks. Put your art on a stick or turn yourself into a work of art

Busk, perform, sing, or have an open studio (just remember to follow covid 19 guidelines). Set up your easel and paint the day away.

How do I get involved?

By registering your location you will be put on our art trail map as one of the places people can see your art! You will also be in the running for an award, and for those who want to sell their art people will know where to find you.

Be ART-extravagant. Express yourself and show us your art!

COVID-19 Social Distancing

To align with COVID-19 social distancing requirements the Art on Fences Program is not being conducted as an event but rather an opportunity for the community to express and share its creative heart. The dates and times are a guide for anyone wishing to come and view the artwork. Anyone viewing the artwork will need to comply with Queensland Health protocol and to maintain the required social distancing at all times.
